Ballard Community Dollars for Scholars is a volunteer-run, non-profit organization.  We exist to provide a scholarship to any Ballard senior attending post-secondary education or training at an accredited University, College, Junior College or Trade School (such as cosmetology, electrical, HVAC, automotive repair, etc.) regardless of financial situation or grade point.  All seniors who complete an application by the deadline and attend Scholarship Awards Night are guaranteed a scholarship of a minimum of $400.  We can even hold scholarship money until military service is completed.

In order to make this happen, we need volunteers from the community to help us operate and continue to provide these scholarships.  You don't have to be a Ballard parent.

Our activities include:

Academic Award Night  program reception in August,

the Homecoming Fundraiser Meal in September, various restaurant fundraisers throughout the year and our newest fundraiser, Trivia Night.

Our biggest event of the year is Scholarship Awards Night in late Spring where we get scholarship donors and recipients together to meet and present the awards.

Want to help?  Join our board.

We meet approximately six times a year

to prepare for our major events and to manage the scholarship awards.

Join our team and make a difference for our kids!
